There's a version of this story that starts with a Ph.D. and a nonprofit. But the real beginning is harder to talk about.
Years ago, I was in public life — and I was publicly and professionally humiliated. The kind of experience that is designed to erase you. To make you question everything you thought you knew about yourself and the world.
It worked. For a while.
But something unexpected happened in that silence. I started paying attention to things I had always quietly noticed but never had the space to examine — experiences that didn't fit neatly into conventional frameworks. Dreams that felt like more than dreams. Intuitions that turned out to be accurate. A sense that human consciousness was far more expansive than anything I'd been taught.
I didn't find this field. It found me — in the wreckage of a life I thought I was supposed to have.
I went back to school. Earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration and then earned a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Sciences. Started teaching science in Nevada — because I believe curiosity is something you protect in young people. And I founded Conscious Pathways Institute as a space for rigorous, ethical, open inquiry into the parts of human experience that mainstream systems too often dismiss or ignore.
I know what it feels like to be dismissed. I know what it feels like to have your experience — your reality — treated as invalid by people in power.
That's exactly why I built this.
